Chicagoland’s premier design/build renovation company, Airoom Architects, Builders & Remodelers, is seeking a detailed Kitchen & Bath Designer with 5+ years of experience in high end kitchens, luxury baths, and conceptual exterior and interior residential design. As K&B Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and drawing design solutions for clients on high end residential remodeling projects and custom homes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of kitchen and bath design experience for high-end homes including interior design, producing floor plans, schematic design, elevations, renderings, and photorealistic color renderings and walkthroughs.
- Strong understanding of functional design principles regarding architecture, interior design, lighting design, material selections, color theory and fine details.
- Advanced 2D and 3D software and/or technologies experience creating detailed photorealistic renderings of architectural designs.
- Prior experience creating artistic illustrations within a timeline that supports the fast-paced nature of the sales process. Must be comfortable handling multiple projects at once; and turning around multiple projects on a daily and weekly basis.
- Capable of artfully communicating architectural concepts to our diverse clientele through renderings and scaled schematic drawings. Proven ability to use a wide range of artistic styles to build excitement in our target audience.
- Strong sense of proportion, scale and functional design to highlight the strength of the proposed design.
- General knowledge of reproducing and detailing materials and textures by hand and in Photoshop. Proficient at hand-sketching.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or interior design.
- Advanced knowledge of architectural design software, such as Chief Architect, REVIT, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Office, 3DStudioMax, SketchUp, Adobe InDesign and/or Adobe Acrobat.
- NKBA certification preferred.
