Japanese electronics manufacture seeks a Sales Engineer.
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
The “Sales Engineer” will be responsible for demand creation of our semiconductor products and existing business support for achieving the yearly sales targets, reporting to the President of Sales in the Americas.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Business Development
- Develops and follows up on business leads; and performs lead generation activities, such as cold calls and direct email.
- Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
- Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs.
- Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
- Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
- Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepares contracts and submits orders.
- Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
- Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients in the technical manufacturing fields.
- Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
2. Planning, Reporting, and Coordination
- Develops and implements strategies for sales in an assigned region or industry.
- Forecasts anticipated market sales, sets sales quotas, and advises upper management about sales performance.
- Reviews market analyses and meets with customers to discuss their current and future needs and to assess the quality of the company's relationship with them.
- Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
- Collaborates with team members to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
- Periodically prepare report of the status of accounts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
3. Team Management
- Manage a team and (distribution partners) to drive revenue growth in the America’s region.
- Manages the Sales Department and sales support employees and representatives within a company.
- Assigns sales territories, sets sales goals and quotas, and establishes training programs for the company's Sales Representatives.
- Assesses the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team, and determines how to manage the sales program based on results.
- Hires, trains, supports, and advises Sales Representatives on ways to generate leads, close sales, and improve sales performance; and keeps them informed of changes that might affect product sales.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education & Experience
- Must have a minimum of 10+ years selling semiconductor and its related products, specifically into power device accounts or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Deep understanding of semiconductor market with technical understanding.
- Experience building sales plans and strategies to meet company objectives on a regional basis.
2. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong ability to make decisions, solve problems, prioritize assignments, direct the personnel and work under stress in a rapidly changing environment.
- Detail oriented, driven to mistake-free work with good planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent presentation and written communication skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization with sensitivity to cultural diversity.
- Strong capabilities in relationship management and excellent negotiation skills.
- Ability to gain trust and respect from customer’s managerial and engineering teams.
- Computer: Basic use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
