Chaparral is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Heat Trace Estimator–Designer to join our Heat Trace division. This role is ideal for a self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with multiple teams to support project success.
Responsibilities
- Estimate Heat Trace projects
- Review drawings and perform takeoffs for Heat Trace requirements
- Analyze plan documents, specifications, and related data
- Mark up specifications as needed
- Assist with layout and component location
- Collaborate with estimating teams to determine proper components
- Perform data entry for estimates and projects
- Support the Heat Trace Design Group as needed
Qualifications
- Self-starter with a strong willingness to learn
- Good problem-solving and effective listening skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- High attention to detail
- Proficiency with computers and basic drafting skills
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, Bluebeam, AutoCAD
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Ability to learn new programs quickly
- Ability to work well independently and within a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
