Job Location: Wilton, CT
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Trading & Operations Analyst to support the day-to-day administration of our trading, billing, and data platforms within a registered investment adviser (RIA). This role will assist with the execution of trading and billing activities, support system integrations and reporting, and help ensure processes are accurate, well-documented, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate is interested in securities and investment operations, comfortable working with data and systems, and eager to learn how trading, billing, and custodial platforms function in a multi-custodian environment.
Key Responsibilities
Trading & Billing Support
- Assist with daily trading activities, including order entry, allocations, and reconciliations.
- Support billing processes, including fee calculations, reconciliations, and exception tracking.
- Help identify and resolve trading or billing discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams.
Systems & Platform Administration
- Support the administration and ongoing maintenance of trading, billing, and portfolio management systems.
- Assist with platform integrations across custodians, third-party vendors, and the firm’s CRM.
- Perform routine system checks to ensure data accuracy and process integrity.
Data Management & Reporting
- Help maintain the firm’s third-party databases and ensure consistency across systems.
- Assist in preparing operational and management reports related to trading and billing activity.
- Support efforts to improve data quality, workflow efficiency, and reporting capabilities.
Compliance & Controls
- Follow established policies and procedures related to trading, billing, and recordkeeping.
- Assist in maintaining audit-ready documentation and operational records.
- Escalate exceptions or control issues to senior team members as identified.
Qualifications
Required
- Strong interest in securities, financial markets, and investment operations.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Comfort working with systems, data, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to follow structured processes and document work clearly.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Bachelor’s degree or coursework in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
- Internship or exposure to financial services, operations, or compliance.
