Role Description
Oak Harvest Financial Group is seeking a full-time Social Media Specialist to join our Houston office. This role is responsible for managing and elevating our organic social media presence across multiple brand accounts while creating polished, on-brand content that strengthens awareness, trust, and engagement.
The ideal candidate is a skilled content creator with a strong understanding of social media best practices, the ability to tailor content for each platform, and experience producing polished graphics and short-form video. Beyond managing core social media responsibilities, this role works closely with employees, clients, and prospects to capture educational insights and authentic, story-driven moments, interviewing and collaborating with internal teams to gather content that strengthens our digital presence and marketing assets.

Responsibilities:
- Manage daily organic social media posting across Oak Harvest brand accounts
- Create platform-specific content for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok
- Plan and maintain a monthly social content calendar
- Write engaging captions and apply modern organic growth strategies
- Monitor engagement and escalate sensitive inquiries per compliance guidelines
- Design polished graphics and edit short-form video content for digital channels
- Ensure all content aligns with brand standards and maintains a professional look
- Use AI tools to support ideation and efficiency while retaining creative ownership
- Capture authentic content through informal interviews with employees, clients, and prospects
- Help participants feel comfortable on camera and encourage team participation
- Gather behind-the-scenes, educational, and event-based content
- Repurpose organic content to support emails, landing pages, and website assets
- Track performance, identify trends, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience managing organic social media for a brand or organization
- Strong understanding of platform best practices across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok
- Experience creating polished graphics and short-form video content using tools like Canva, Adobe Express, or similar
- Working knowledge of short-form video fundamentals (captions, aspect ratios, pacing, and visual clarity)
- Ability to maintain brand consistency and produce professional, high-quality content
- Comfort interviewing and capturing content with employees, clients, or partners
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using analytics to evaluate performance and refine content strategy
- Familiarity with AI tools to support ideation and content workflows (while retaining creative ownership)
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and accept feedback
- Organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Experience creating content in a compliance-conscious or regulated environment (such as financial services, healthcare, or legal) is preferred.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
