ASTOUNDZ is an exciting Houston-based SEO, Web development, and Web marketing company founded in 2016. With over 300 recurring accounts, ASTOUNDZ is seeing incredible growth, and we are looking to add another ASTOUNDZing individual to our team!
We are looking for an experienced senior WordPress developer with strong technical backend abilities and creative front-end skills to build websites that are visually appealing, functional and optimized for search. Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess excellent project management skills to communicate with our team of in-house and off-shore developers. This new team member will help our clients develop amazing websites and improve our client’s online presence through creative content production and technical SEO strategies. You need to be a hard-working self-starter who wants to bring new ideas to the table and possess an understanding of best practices in website development, content creation, and brand visibility with SEO in mind. You will help build new websites FAST! and solve issues with existing websites.
As the Senior WordPress Developer, you will report directly to our Head of Operations and be responsible for developing WordPress websites, overseeing offshore developer work, and assisting in our development process. Our goals are to build beautiful websites on a FAST! timely basis that rank well in search.
We are looking for someone with solid project management experience and attention to detail with a keen sense of urgency. The candidate must be an expert at all things WordPress, WooCommerce and PHP, hand-coding PHP scripts, and SEO knowledge. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, a strategic planner who is conscious of scope and timelines, and highly customer-focused. The candidate must also be a very strong communicator.
You are best described as a creative-minded WordPress developer. If you consider a good evening spent hanging out and building websites fun, then you will be a great addition to our team. You must also be extremely customer service-oriented and want to create raving fans through ASTOUNDZing work!
Expect to work with dozens of small and medium-sized service-related businesses, and thinking outside the box is a must. This is an IN-OFFICE position, as we need you to mentor and help collaborate with the team. Experience working in the Divi theme a huge plus.

- WooCommerce, WordPress design and development is a must
- Understand how Wordpress Themes and MySQL Databases work together

- Expert at HTML and CSS

Responsibilities:
· Research and keep up with the latest WooCommerce, WordPress, SEO news and tactics.
· Website development with an eye on design and creation
· Identify opportunities and provide advice to improve our clients’ websites.
Requirements:
· Must be in Houston, TX and able to work in the office.
- Minimum of five years of demonstrated WooCommerce, WordPress development experience.
· Excellent writing and verbal skills.
· High level of attention to detail.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
