About the Role
Are you a talented Junior Designer looking to build your portfolio and work with a premier home remodel company? We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Junior Interior Designer to join our team on a project by project basis.
In this role, you will act as a key representative of our company, working directly with homeowners and on site to turn their remodeling dreams into reality. This is a perfect opportunity for a freelance designer or a recent grad looking for steady project flow without the constraints of a 9 to 5.
What You’ll Do
- Client Consultation: Meet with our clients (representing our brand) to understand their vision, and functional needs.
- Design Development: Create mood boards, material selections (tile, flooring, cabinetry, etc.), and basic floor plans while staying in the budget.
- Showroom Support: Utilize our Castle Rock showroom to walk clients through product options.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our project managers to ensure design feasibility and seamless handoffs to the construction crew.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Maintain a professional appearance and communication style as a representative of our company.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 1–3 years of interior design experience (remodeling focus preferred).
- Local Presence: Must be located within driving distance of Castle Rock for client meetings and showroom visits.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Chief Architect, 2020 Design, or similar) and presentation tools.
- Communication: Exceptional "people skills" and the ability to present ideas confidently.
- Mindset: A self-starter who can manage their own schedule and meet project deadlines.
Compensation & Logistics
- Pay Structure: This is a project-based (1099 contractor) position. You will be paid a flat fee per project completed.
- Flexibility: You manage your own hours, provided client needs and deadlines are met.
- Growth: Consistent performers will receive priority on all new incoming remodel leads.
