Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our organization's financial planning, management, and reporting functions. The CFO will oversee all financial activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as GAAP, IFRS, IAS, COSO, and ASC 606. This executive role requires a strong leader with expertise in corporate finance, risk management, and business development to support sustainable growth and operational excellence across both for-profit and non-profit sectors.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee corporate accounting functions including financial accounting, governmental accounting, and specialized areas such as tax accounting and cost accounting.
- Manage revenue cycle processes, revenue management, and profit & loss analysis to optimize profitability.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling efforts to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and internal controls based on frameworks like SOX, COSO, GAAP, IFRS, and IAS.
- Supervise treasury management activities including cash flow analysis, expense management, and cost control initiatives.
- Conduct risk analysis to identify potential financial threats and develop mitigation strategies.
- Oversee mergers & acquisitions activities and business development initiatives to expand organizational capacity.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for senior leadership and board members; interpret complex financial data for strategic insights.
- Lead audit processes ensuring adherence to regulatory standards; manage external auditors’ relationships.
- Supervise finance teams responsible for payroll management, supply chain finance, and other operational financial functions.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial software systems and technical accounting practices to enhance efficiency.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, IAS, ASC 606 compliance standards; experience with COSO frameworks is preferred.
- Proven expertise in corporate finance including revenue management, cost control, risk analysis, and treasury management.
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising senior finance teams; excellent negotiation capabilities.
- Advanced skills in financial analysis, modeling, report writing, interpretation of financial statements (profit & loss), and business analysis.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements related to SOX compliance; experience in governmental accounting is a plus.
- Ability to develop strategic plans based on market analysis; adept at fiscal management and forecasting.
- Technical proficiency in financial software systems; understanding of supply chain finance is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective business development discussions; ability to manage risk effectively through comprehensive risk management strategies. Pay: $114,195.93 - $137,526.28 per year
