Job Summary
Anderson Flowers is hiring a full-time Floral Designer & Shop Manager to join our team under new ownership. This role requires a skilled floral designer who can also manage daily shop operations and create wedding florals to assist our connected wedding décor business, Enchanted Occasions
Responsibilities
Floral Design
- Create high-quality daily arrangements, bouquets, centerpieces, and sympathy florals
- Design wedding florals
- Oversee and manage the purchasing of flower inventory to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Prep, clean, and process fresh flowers
- Create daily fresh floral arrangements: vased arrangements, hand-tied bouquets, centerpieces, and custom pieces
- Design sympathy florals: standing sprays, wreaths, casket sprays, and basket arrangements
- Design wedding florals: bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, centerpieces, and ceremony pieces
- Prep and process flowers upon delivery (hydration, cleaning stems, stripping, conditioning)
- Maintain floral quality: rotate stock, check freshness, and pull expired stems
- Create efficient production flows for holidays and busy days
- Follow design recipes OR design creatively depending on the order
- Package and finish arrangements professionally for delivery/pickup
- Ensure all floral work meets shop design standards and brand style
Shop Management
- Open and close the shop
- Manage daily workflow
- Provide excellent customer service for walk-ins and phone orders
- Keep the shop and design area clean and organized
- Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs
Requirements
- Full floral design ability (required 5+ years in a flower shop)
- Must be comfortable creating daily and wedding florals
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
