We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance and Insurance Manager to join our Marine Division. As a Finance and Insurance Manager, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the financing and insurance process for our customers, ensuring their satisfaction while maximizing profitability for the dealership. Responsibilities
- Review credit applications, evaluate creditworthiness, and negotiate financial terms with customers.
- Present and explain financing and insurance options to customers, ensuring they understand the terms and benefits.
- Collaborate with financial institutions and maintain strong relationships to secure competitive financing rates and terms.
- Coordinate the completion of all necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding finance and insurance processes. Follow and comply with FTC's safeguard rules.
- Assist customers in selecting and purchasing additional insurance products, such as extended warranties, GAP coverage, paint/fabric protection, tire/wheel coverage, etc.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify potential financing opportunities and provide guidance on structuring deals to maximize profitability.
- Effectively communicate with customers, sales team, controller, and other departments to ensure a seamless and exceptional customer experience.
- Stay updated on industry trends, financing programs, and insurance products to provide customers with the most relevant information and options.
- Monitor and track finance and insurance metrics, prepare reports, and present them to management as needed.
- Attend weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly management meetings.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years previous Finance and Insurance experience in a dealership setting.
- In depth knowledge of financing options, insurance products, and regulations.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with financial institutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial terms in a clear and understandable manner.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure accurate and efficient completion of paperwork.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with finance and insurance software systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to handle customer concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on maximizing profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction.
