Summary
CenterPoint’s Summer Intern Program provides hands-on exposure across the lifecycle of industrial real estate—including investment and development (capital deployment), asset management, strategy, finance, and valuation. Interns engage in analytical and research-driven work supporting underwriting, market analysis, due diligence, financial modeling, and strategic initiatives. The role offers a unique opportunity to learn from senior professionals, contribute to active deals and projects, and understand how a national industrial real estate platform operates
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of a Regional Transactions Team, the Intern will support a range of assignments across business functions, including:
- Support financial feasibility analyses for acquisitions, development opportunities, asset repositioning, and disposition scenarios
- Assist with valuation and financial modeling, including discounted cash flow analysis, IRR/NPV assessments, comparable research, and operating performance review
- Conduct market and competitive research on industrial real estate fundamentals, tenants, supply/demand trends, and strategic submarket positioning
- Help prepare investment committee materials, development updates, asset management reports, and other internal/external presentations
- Participate in aspects of the due diligence process, gaining exposure to underwriting, lease review, physical due diligence, and risk assessments
- Leverage internal systems and AI productivity tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) to support research, drafting, modeling, and workflow efficiency
- Contribute to strategic or cross-functional projects that enhance portfolio performance, improve processes, or support corporate initiatives
- Complete additional tasks and project work as assigned
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with a focus on accounting, finance, or real estate.
- Prior internship experience in real estate, finance, banking, consulting, or related analytical fields preferred

- Hybrid work environment: 4 days in the office and 1 day remote; ability to be flexible with respect to work schedule.
