Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Trust Administration group. This internship offers hands-on experience in trust and estate administration, providing exposure to fiduciary responsibilities, client relationship management, and the technical aspects of trust operations. The intern will work closely with our Relationship Managers and gain valuable insight into the fiduciary services industry.
Primary Responsibilities
• Process bill payment and trust distributions while ensuring proper documentation.
• Pull and organize monthly statements for delegated (held-away) investment accounts.
• Assist with the completion of initial and annual account reviews.
• Assist with the preparation of discretionary distribution forms and annual budgets.
• Enter and maintain client and account information in trust operations systems and ensuring records are properly documented and filed.
• Generate standard reports for clients and internal teams, and assist with preparing statements, schedules, and performance summaries as needed.
• Participate in special projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, system upgrades, or procedural enhancements.
• Participate in monthly Client Service Committee “Lunch and Learn” sessions, as well as all scheduled staff meetings.
• Assist other departments with tasks and projects as needed to support overall business operations.
Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, with a strong academic record.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel), and ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
