Duties
- Perform a broad range of construction related inspection activities to assure quality in road construction projects.
- Inspects more difficult or extensive road projects dealing with soils, materials, construction, plans, standards, specifications and procedures.
- Provides project coordination/direction to other inspectors as may be required.
- Radiation safety & density technology certifications will be obtained within the first two years.
- Must perform duties in a professional and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the Road Commission for Oakland County.
- Requires a daily schedule that supports RCOC hours of operation.
- Regular and predictable onsite job attendance is an essential function of this position.
Special Experience/Education
- A high school diploma or equivalent with math training sufficient to calculate volume is required.
- One to two years' experience in construction inspection, commensurate with the duties described above is required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid State of Michigan Driver's License.
