TRIGO Global Quality Solutions has an immediate opening for an Industrial Engineer in the Metro Detroit area.
Overall Purpose
Design production layouts and processes with the purpose of increasing productivity, eliminating wastefulness, reducing costs, and ensuring quality standards are maintained while supporting and contributing to the company Quality Policies and QMS. Promote positive changes and training at site.

Responsibilities
Client relationship & Business development
- Support TRIGO operational team within the region assigned
- Ensures client satisfaction and building of solid relationships
- Ensures clear and transparent communication with internal and external customers
Operations
- Executes assessments/audits as per guidelines
- Design and implement LEAN practices (VSM, Continuous flow, Workplace organization 5S, Cycle time, takt time studies, Ergonomic, Define Waste, TPM program)
- Lead Kaizen events to find potential improvements
- Develop and implement work instructions and train team members, including both written and videos
- Test and deploy the appropriate AOI product(s) and configure it/them to be installed
- Manage the creation and collaboration of 3D CAD models and 3D printing
- Design, redesign, and enhance work areas and layouts to be more ergo friendly, reduce repetitive motions and inefficient methods
- Provide computer, printer, scanner and other IT related support to the operational team within the region
- Participate in the development process for label initiatives, along with leading the deployment and training of these initiatives to the operational team

- Demonstrates commitment to reduce the risk of workplace accidents
- Must comply with local and company Health & Safety legislation, laws, and policies
Organization & management
- Demonstrate group and individual presentation skills; actively participate in meetings, including high level customer, supplier, and business leader meetings
- Assists/monitors overall services provided within the various sites of the assigned region on a regular basis
- Promotes workplace improvements and development
Technical
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Establishes methods for maximum utilization of materials, production facilities and/or personnel
