As a Sales Development Representative, you will build expertise through comprehensive training on AT&T’s delivery model, covering device knowledge, plan pairing, and support for mobile and internet services. This role is designed to cultivate the Sales Development Representative’s skills in consultative sales and account stewardship, establishing a solid foundation for professional growth in sales or team leadership.
Core Functions of the Sales Development Representative
- Initiate customer communication to support residential households, ensuring smooth activation and reliable performance of AT&T devices and internet services.
- Evaluate account status to anticipate potential cancellations and deliver retention strategies through plan adjustments and device optimization.
- Address billing concerns by applying credits, promotions, and adjustments tied to AT&T’s wireless and internet offerings.
- Verify enrollment accuracy by reviewing contracts, device configurations, and service expectations during the post‑transaction handoff.
- Oversee inventory processes for residential devices and accessories, managing returns, exchanges, and maintaining precise stock levels.
- Audit account documentation to uphold AT&T compliance standards and safeguard customer data privacy across all processed records.
Education & Experience Needed for the Sales Development Representative
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in customer support, retail, or sales, with emphasis on telecommunications, wireless connectivity, or subscription‑based residential services.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills with the ability to explain AT&T’s wireless and internet options, resolve service concerns, and build customer trust.
