Job Description:
This role is responsible for designing, coordinating, and testing new electrical utility installations, while also supporting existing generation, transmission, and distribution assets. The position will prepare technical specifications for electrical equipment purchases and provide assistance with repairs and system restoration as needed.
Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of experience in transmission/distribution system design and operations
Florida Professional Engineer (PE) License required within first year
Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders
Ability to support emergency restoration efforts during severe weather conditions
Prepares studies, reports, and documentation related to construction work plans, sectionalizing studies, power requirement analyses, and other feasibility efforts
Familiarity with protective relays, PLCs, and SCADA systems
Proficient in NESC and NFPA standards and applicable electrical codes
Valid driver's license required

Must be able to work in various weather conditions, including extreme environments
Must adhere to PPE requirements at all times
