Job description
The Interior Designer will lead the full design process—from concept through construction—on projects ranging from ground-up custom home builds to large-scale remodels. This person will collaborate closely with builders, architects, and clients to bring designs to life, ensuring that every detail is thoughtfully executed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of new construction, custom homes, and remodeling projects.
- Develop and present design concepts, mood boards, and renderings.
- Collaborate with builders, contractors, and architects both in the office and on-site.
- Read, interpret, and produce architectural floor plans, elevations, and construction details.
- Create technical drawings and cabinetry designs using SketchUp, AutoCAD, and kitchen/bath design software.
- Oversee the design and specification of materials, finishes, fixtures, and furnishings.
- Conduct site visits, oversee installations, and troubleshoot design or construction challenges.
- Manage client communications, budgets, and timelines effectively.
- Mentor junior designers and review their work to maintain design standards.
Qualifications
- 5 + years of professional interior design experience in residential (custom homes and remodels required).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experience with new builds, luxury custom homes, and remodeling projects.
- Proven ability to work on-site with builders and architects.
- Skilled at reading and creating architectural floor plans with detailed design specifications.
- Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, rendering tools, and cabinetry design software.
- Strong communication and client presentation skills.
- Thorough knowledge of construction processes, finishes, and materials.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
