O’Rourke Media Group is hiring an Advertising Account Executive in our Gunnison, CO market. We’re looking for a results-driven sales professional with a proven track record in relationship building and new business development.
You’ll sell the strength of our print and digital audiences and leverage our full-service, in-house digital agency to deliver value to clients.
OMG operates multiple publications across Colorado and nationwide, with aggressive plans for continued growth through both organic expansion and acquisitions. In Colorado, we publish eight hyper-local news brands, including the Gunnison Country Times and Gunnison Country Shopper. We also produce several high-interest magazines, like our real estate and visitors guides.

The Advertising Account Executive manages client relationships, develops advertising strategies, and ensures customer satisfaction. This role combines sales, marketing, and communication skills. You’ll receive ongoing support and work closely with both local and national teams to grow your book of business.
This is a growth role — we want someone who can make an impact in month one and consistently grow their book of business.
Client Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
- Build strong, long-term client relationships
- Understand client goals and tailor solutions accordingly
Strategy Development
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop effective advertising campaigns
- Present proposals and negotiate terms
- Monitor performance and optimize strategies as needed
Sales & Business Development
- Prospect and pursue new business opportunities
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations
- Engage in networking and outreach activities
- Consistently meet or exceed sales goals
Reporting & Analysis
- Provide regular campaign performance updates
- Analyze data to uncover insights and opportunities
- Present results to clients and internal stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field
- Proven sales or account management experience (advertising/media preferred)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
