Overview:
As a Content Strategist at Inner Action Media, you will serve as both a strategic thinker and a trusted client partner, responsible for guiding content initiatives from concept through execution. You will collaborate closely with clients, internal producers, designers, and digital teams to develop content strategies that support broader marketing goals. From brand journalism and video storytelling to ongoing content programs and campaigns, you will help define what stories should be told, how they should be told, and how success will be measured. This position requires strong editorial judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple client initiatives with clarity and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Strategy & Planning: Lead the development of content strategies that align with client goals, brand voice, and audience needs. Translate high-level objectives into actionable content plans and story frameworks.
- Client Ownership & Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, guiding conversations around content direction, timelines, deliverables, and performance. Build trusted relationships through clear communication and proactive leadership.
- Story Development & Editorial Oversight: Oversee story ideation, research, and development, ensuring content is compelling, accurate, and strategically aligned. Provide editorial guidance and feedback to ensure consistency and quality across deliverables.
- Content Production Collaboration: Work closely with the video production and creative teams to guide the execution of content, contributing to scripting, interviews, creative direction, and overall storytelling approach as needed.
- Publishing & Distribution Support: Collaborate with digital and social teams to ensure content is published and distributed effectively across platforms, supporting reach, engagement, and performance goals.
- Performance Awareness & Optimization: Partner with internal teams to review content performance and reporting, using insights to refine strategy and improve future content initiatives.
- Project Coordination: Manage multiple content initiatives simultaneously, maintaining organization, deadlines, and follow-through while ensuring a high standard of work.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Media, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in content creation, journalism, marketing, or agency environments.
- Demonstrated experience guiding content strategy or serving in a client-facing role.
- Strong editorial judgment with experience in storytelling across written, video, and digital formats.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence in client interactions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines with minimal oversight.
- A high level of organization, accountability, and attention to detail.
