GIS Technician / Engineering Aide – Ashton, Idaho
Fall River Rural Electric Cooperative
Fall River Rural Electric Cooperative is seeking a detail-oriented GIS Technician / Engineering Aide to support the accuracy and maintenance of the Cooperative’s Geographical Information System (GIS). This position works closely with Engineering and Operations to provide mapping, drafting, and system data that support planning, construction, maintenance, and outage response for the electric distribution system.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update GIS data for the electric distribution system
- Provide maps, drawings, and data to support engineering and operations
- Assist with CAD drafting and system design updates
- Support GIS integration with OMS, CIS, and equipment records
- Assist with outage response using the Outage Management System
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (or equivalent)
- Experience with NISC, GIS, CAD, or utility systems preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively
- Effective communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
