About the Role
This is a behind-the-scenes kitchen and bath design support role, ideal for a designer who enjoys the technical side of the design process and wants to deepen their expertise in cabinetry, layouts, and pricing.
As a Kitchen & Bath Design Support Specialist, you will work closely with our senior designers to translate onsite measurements and design intent into accurate plans, layouts, and pricing using 2020 Design or Design Flex. You will be responsible for preparing and modifying designs, maintaining accurate cabinet pricing, and supporting the overall design workflow.
This role is not currently client-facing, but it offers a clear career path toward a client-facing designer role in the future for candidates who demonstrate strong technical skills and design judgment.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Technical Support
- Build kitchen and bathroom layouts in 2020 Design or Design Flex based on detailed onsite measurements and notes.
- Translate senior designers’ concepts into accurate, build-ready plans.
- Create and update floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings as required.
- Make design revisions based on internal feedback or client-requested changes communicated by senior designers.
Cabinet Pricing & Documentation
- Generate and maintain accurate cabinet pricing directly from design software.
- Update pricing as layouts, materials, or specifications change.
- Prepare internal design documentation and pricing summaries to support client proposals.
- Assist with cabinet order preparation and verification prior to submission.
Project & Systems Support
- Enter and maintain project information in construction or project management software.
- Create and update receiving tickets, delivery documentation, and installation packages.
- Coordinate internally to ensure design changes are reflected accurately across all systems.
- Verify order accuracy and assist with resolving discrepancies or material returns.
Growth & Development
- Learn and apply Cabinet Designers’ standards, processes, and preferred cabinet lines.
- Stay current with software updates, cabinet product changes, and design best practices.
- Grow technical and design skills with the potential to transition into a client-facing designer role over time.
What You Bring
- 1+ years of professional experience in kitchen and bath design or related residential design work.
- Hands-on experience using 2020 Design and/or Design Flex (required).
- Strong understanding of cabinetry layouts, clearances, and kitchen/bath planning principles.
- Comfort working with detailed measurements and translating them into accurate designs.
- Experience managing or understanding cabinet pricing through design software.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple design tasks and revisions efficiently.
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a support role within a design team.
Preferred (but Not Required)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience with AutoCAD or SketchUp in addition to 2020 Design.
- Familiarity with project management or construction management software.
- Prior experience working with custom or semi-custom cabinet lines.

This position is focused on technical design execution, accuracy, and support.

- Schedule: Monday through Friday; 9am - 5pm.
