LaSalle Network is hiring on behalf of a nonprofit organization based in Chicago for a Human Resources Coordinator.
HR Coordinator Responsibilities
- Coordinate full-cycle onboarding, including preparing offer letters, initiating background checks, and managing all new hire documentation.
- Lead new hire orientations and conduct facility tours to introduce employees to the organization’s culture, policies, and key contacts.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires, providing support throughout their transition into the organization.
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support recruitment efforts through interview scheduling, candidate communication, and coordination with hiring managers.
- Assist with benefits administration and respond to general employee inquiries regarding HR policies and programs.
- Prepare onboarding materials, welcome packets, and coordinate system and building access with IT and Facilities.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, training sessions, and ongoing HR projects as assigned.
HR Coordinator Requirements
- 1-3 years previous HR, onboarding, or administrative experience preferred; nonprofit experience a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Comfortable working in a fast?paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic HR processes.
