Job Overview:
A Branded Merchandise Web Store Specialist manages and optimizes online stores that sell branded promotional products (e.g., company swag, uniforms, giveaways). Job functions span e-commerce operations, merchandising, and client support.
Key Responsibilities:
E-Commerce Store Management
- Build, configure, and maintain branded web stores for clients.
- Manage products, categories, pricing, and SKU data.
- Ensure brand guidelines are followed across all storefronts (logos, colors, messaging).
- Test store functionality (checkout, payment, shipping, user access).
Product & Merchandising Operations
- Coordinate product selection for branded merchandise (apparel, accessories, promotional items).
- Upload and maintain product images, descriptions, sizing charts, and customization options.
- Manage inventory levels on any stock items.
Order Processing & Fulfillment
- Process incoming orders per store timeline- including ordering blank product.
- Date entry all order information into production and invoicing software.
- Create Packing lists, fulfillment packet and shipping labels for Fulfillment team.
- Coordinate with suppliers, decorators and fulfillment team for production and shipping.
- Track orders, resolve back-orders, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Handle all order corrections or product replacement.
Client & User Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams on all web stores.
- Assist users with login issues, ordering questions, and product customization.
- Respond to inquiries via email and store messaging systems.
Brand & Compliance Management
- Enforce brand compliance and approval workflows for custom merchandise.
- Ensure correct logo usage, imprint placement, and decoration methods.
- Maintain approval records and version control for artwork.
Reporting & Analytics
- Generate billing reports for accounting.
- Provide any necessary reporting documents to clients.
- Track Gift codes/Gift Cards and allowances for company-funded stores.
Platform & Technology Coordination
- Work within e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Proprietary swag platforms).
- Collaborate with platform providers on integrations for smooth workflow.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate when necessary.
Marketing & Store Optimization
- Optimize product presentation and user experience to increase engagement for non-performing stores.
- Support launches of new stores, campaigns, or seasonal collections.
- Coordinate email notifications, announcements, or store updates.
Administrative & Project Support
- Manage timelines for store launches and refreshes.
- Document processes, SOPs, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, advertising, or similar industry is a preferred.
- E-Commerce or promotional products industry experience is a plus.
