Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. This position requires a deep understanding of engineering principles and a passion for innovation in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems according to specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical and software systems.
- Conduct simulations and analyses to validate design performance and reliability.
- Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including drawings and specifications.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Support the manufacturing process by troubleshooting and resolving design-related issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of basic hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum and power transmission (Sprocket and Chain Gearing)
- Understanding of food manufacturing processes, USDA Good Manufacturing Practices, and Sanitary Design principals.
- SolidWorks proficiency through SW2023
- Mechanical stress and strain analysis familiarity
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
