Manpower Engineering is seeking Technical Training Developers / Instructional Designers to work with a large automotive manufacture. Hybrid role based out of Auburn Hills, MI. Must live in or relocate to the area.
- Where: Hybrid work, generally 1 day/week onsite but based on project needs (some projects during the year will require consecutive days/weeks at the training center)
- Hours: Typical work hours: 8am-5pm
- Type: Long-term, indefinite contract position (multi-year)
- Build automotive technical training curriculum including instructor-led training, e-learning, microlearning, and quick reference guides/job aids.
- The training will be for technicians on repair, troubleshooting, assembly and disassembly. For example, how to take apart a transmission, how to diagnose and repair transmissions, engines, gearboxes, etc.
- Will work with Commodity Managers or Project Leads (SMEs). They will guide the process, identify gaps and develop training to remedy.
- Create comprehensive storyboards and video scripts.
- Design engaging course elements with graphics, audio, and video.
- Transform technical content into engaging and impactful learning experiences.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Sample works, such as a portfolio, e-Learning demo, or printed materials.
- Some experience in a technical environment developing courseware for automotive, aerospace, or the mechanical / technical side of an industry.
- Experience working with technical SMEs.
- Knowledge of automotive components and systems such as transmissions, engines, gearboxes, steering (preferred)
- Experience with Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise and Adobe Creative Suite to include Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects
- Ability to write effective instructional text and audio/video scripts
- Experience with photography, creating animations, creating videos
- Ability to work in a Learning Management System (LMS) – company uses Cornerstone LMS.
