Industrial Engineer – Continuous Improvement & Capital Projects
A growing industrial manufacturer is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support enterprise-wide operational improvement initiatives. This role is part of a strategic improvement team responsible for driving automation, enhancing workflows, and guiding long-term facility and process development. The Industrial Engineer will play a key role in executing capital projects, optimizing production systems, and supporting continuous improvement efforts across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead capital and facility improvement projects from initial concept through full implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Operations, Engineering, Facilities, and other departments to design and execute automation, layout, and process enhancement initiatives.
- Conduct time studies, workflow analyses, and value stream mapping to identify inefficiencies and recommend data-driven improvements.
- Support and lead Continuous Improvement (CI) activities using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Establish project structure through clear deliverables, performance metrics, schedules, and progress reporting.
- Drive cross-departmental coordination to ensure systems, processes, and improvements are scalable and standardized.
- Provide coaching and training on CI and Lean tools to strengthen team capabilities and support a culture of continuous improvement.
- Serve in a hybrid role as project manager, technical resource, and problem solver depending on project scope and business needs.
Qualifications
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or process engineering with hands-on involvement in capital projects and improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional projects with limited supervision.
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency with design and analysis tools such as AutoCAD/Inventor, Excel, and Power BI; experience working within an ERP system preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, PMP, or similar certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership abilities with a strong bias for action and collaboration.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
