Job Summary
Kutak Rock LLP seeks a Graphic Design Coordinator to join its Business Development and Marketing Communications Department. This position, reporting to the Director of Marketing Communications, will support members of the Marketing Communications team in the design, production, and maintenance of high-quality, on-brand marketing materials for the firm. This position is ideal for the candidate, skilled in graphic design and brand management, who enjoys collaborating with marketing, business development, and legal professionals while working collegially in a multi-disciplined, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
This full time, hybrid position can be located in the following cities in which Kutak Rock has an office: Atlanta, Denver, Irvine, Kansas City, Little Rock, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Omaha, and Scottsdale.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce on-brand marketing materials across print and digital platforms, including brochures, newsletters, advertisements, presentations, pitch decks, event collateral, email campaigns, social media, web graphics, and video
- Create digital graphics, infographics, flowcharts, and simple animations to clearly communicate complex information
- Review, edit, refine, and prepare images, layouts, and print-ready and optimized digital files using Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, and Canva
- Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team and internal clients to translate concepts into visually compelling designs and enhance presentations
- Ensure consistency with firm branding and style guidelines across all materials; manage templates, design files, and the firm’s photo and asset libraries
- Coordinate with external vendors on print production and file delivery
- Track and manage design requests using the team’s project management tools; support internal communications, and special projects
- Appropriately apply AI tools to support design and production workflows
- Partner with marketing to create and organize website images, icons, and visual components as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS: Skills and Abilities
- Strong mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop; Premiere/After Effects a plus), Canva, and advanced PowerPoint design (templates, slide masters, exporting)
- Demonstrated proficiency in design fundamentals, including typography, layout, composition, color theory, branding, and style guides
- Working knowledge of print production processes (prepress, color modes, bleeds, proofing, and vendor coordination)
- Ability to manage projects from concept through final delivery with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent proofreading skills, including grammar, spelling, and content accuracy
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communicator comfortable working directly with attorneys, firm leadership, and cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with AP style and current digital, marketing, and social media trends
- Team-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable, with a willingness to learn, integrate feedback, and support broader marketing initiatives
- CSS/HTML knowledge a plus
QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in either Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or Marketing/Advertising
- Minimum of 3 years of professional graphic design experience required, with experience in-house at a law firm or other professional services organization preferred
- Applicants should be prepared to submit a portfolio of original work created without the use of generative AI tools. The portfolio should demonstrate the candidate’s diverse design skills, creative process, and technical proficiency
Position Information
Status: Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $55,000-$70,000 Per year, commensurate with education and experience
Work Arrangement: Hybrid 3:2, with manager approval in the following cities in which Kutak Rock has an office: Atlanta, GA; Denver, CO; Irvine, CA; Kansas City, MO; Little Rock, AR; Los Angeles, CA; Minneapolis, MN; Omaha, NE and Scottsdale, AZ.
