You'll need to learn a BIT of Corel Draw while we transition over to full Adobe Creative Suite but we have both tools available.
Production shop seeks a team-oriented Graphics Designer/Production Associate with large format experience. This position is responsible for the design, production, & fabrication of graphics, and dealing with customers in a courteous and professional manner. Position is available immediately, full time or job share.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to ensure consistency of designs across various media outlets
- Create compelling and effective logos, designs, print and digital media
- Maintain awareness of current industry and technology standards, social media, competitive landscape and market trends
- Design and create all types of flexible substrates
- Operate and maintain all machinery
- Knowledge of vinyl cutting equipment and wide bed digital printing is vital •Greet customers and answer phones in a professional and knowledgeable manner
- Maintain accurate, orderly computer files and customer records
- Keep inventory of all stock and supplies
- Maintain an organized, clean and professional work area
- Assist in operating and managing store when needed
- Perform bench work including weeding, fabrication and occasional installation
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in graphic design
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong communication, conceptual thinking, typography skills and design skills
- Portfolio of work
