Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Learning & Development Specialist / Desktop Application Trainer with deep, expert-level mastery of enterprise productivity tools. This role is ideal for a seasoned software application trainer who is not only an engaging facilitator, but a recognized subject-matter expert capable of training advanced users, supporting enterprise rollouts, and advising clients on best practices and adoption strategies.
The successful candidate must be an expert in Microsoft 365, with the ability to train beyond “how-to” and into advanced functionality, workflows, automation, collaboration, and real-world business use cases.
Expertise on one or more additional platforms—Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Workspace, and/or Power BI—is strongly preferred and will differentiate top candidates.
This role blends high-impact instructor-led delivery, content development, and professional video production, supporting both client engagements and Intellezy’s growing digital learning library.
Core Responsibilities
- Record and deliver high-quality, on-camera training videos in Intellezy’s Lawrence, MA studio.
- Deliver expert-level training on Microsoft 365 applications, including but not limited to:
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint
- Power BI (preferred)
- Design and deliver advanced ILT and vILT sessions tailored to diverse corporate audiences, from end users to power users and leadership.
- Serve as a trusted SME, translating complex application capabilities into practical, role-based learning experiences.
- Assess client training needs and recommend learning strategies aligned with business goals and technology adoption.
- Develop end-to-end learning solutions, including:
- Course curricula and learning paths
- Job aids, reference guides, and performance support tools
- Assessments and reinforcement activities
- Collaborate closely with instructional designers, content developers, and change management consultants.
- Apply adult learning principles, instructional design best practices, and accessibility standards.
- Stay current on product updates, new features, and industry trends, continuously evolving training content.
- Measure and evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
Required Expertise & Qualifications
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft 365 (required):
- Ability to teach advanced features, integrations, collaboration scenarios, and real-world workflows
- 3+ years of hands-on corporate software training experience, specifically with desktop or enterprise applications.
- Demonstrated experience delivering training as a primary instructor, not just co-facilitator or content contributor.
- Strong instructional design foundation and applied knowledge of adult learning theory.
- Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Strong writing skills for instructional materials and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong on-camera presence with a professional, approachable demeanor
- Must provide own wardrobe based on provided guidelines and arrive camera-ready
Highly Preferred / Differentiating Skills
- Expert or advanced proficiency in one or more of the following platforms:
- Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Google Workspace
- Power BI (reporting, dashboards, data visualization)
- AI, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini
- Microsoft, Adobe, or Google certifications.
- Prior experience supporting enterprise-wide technology rollouts or change initiatives.
- Professional on-camera or video-based training experience.
- Experience training both in-person and virtually at scale.
- Ability to Maintain high energy and natural tone throughout the recording session.
