Immediate Engineering Specialist Opportunity!
Job Description
Lead or support Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs), Non-Conformance (NCs), and Investigation Reports (PIRs) for issue resolution and risk mitigation to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. Provide technical expertise for production troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of operational issues, such as equipment failures or process variances, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead or support Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs), Non-Conformance (NCs), and Investigation Reports (PIRs) for issue resolution and risk mitigation.
- Provide technical expertise for production troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of operational issues, including equipment failures and process variances.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as mechanics, automation technicians, and operators.
- Evaluate and incorporate new technologies, tools, or methods to streamline operations, including predictive maintenance and quality control standards.
- Supervise testing of new systems and analyze production data to develop reports on performance metrics for strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental guidelines in all engineering activities.
- Conduct health assessments, predictive maintenance, and upgrades on equipment like blow molders, fillers, and conveyors in automated production lines.
- Lead cross-disciplinary projects such as equipment installations while providing technical support to operators and technicians.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related multidisciplinary field.
- 7+ years of experience in automation, manufacturing, or systems engineering, with exposure to robotics, controls, and industrial processes.
- Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle customized, complex machinery.
- Certifications in automation or project management (e.g., PMP) are advantageous.
- Flexibility to work in dynamic environments, including clean rooms or production facilities.
Work Environment
The role is based in a medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will work both at a desk and on the manufacturing floor, providing a dynamic and engaging work setting. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Irvine, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
