About StandardData:
StandardData is a small-business prime contractor supporting DoD programs focused on legacy Command and Control (C2) software sustainment and modernization under GSA MAS.
Role Summary:
- Serves as the technical lead for sustainment, modernization, and transition of legacy C2 simulation baselines
- Owns backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release orchestration for legacy models, interfaces, and federation services to ensure zero-interruption training capability during modernization
- Acts as the primary engineering interface to Government customers and associate contractors to enforce Unlimited Rights data posture, ACA commitments, and Agile DevSecOps standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Sustain, refactor, and harden legacy simulation components while aligning APIs to future modernized services and C2 touchpoints
- Lead configuration management, RMF/ATO sustainment artifacts, defect triage, and test readiness reviews
- Direct integration and data-exchange testing with federation partners; ensure compliance with Government ICDs and latency KPIs
- Coordinate Tier II engineering support during 24/7 exercise surges, provide rapid CR/DR assessment, and oversee post-event corrective action plans
- Mentor cross-site engineers on secure coding, IaC patterns, and DevSecOps pipeline usage to maintain software provenance and SBOM currency
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred) plus 10+ years of C++/Python software engineering with at least 5 years on constructive C5ISR M&S systems
- Demonstrated experience sustaining legacy simulation baselines, including interface control, data model curation, and federation accreditation
- Hands-on knowledge of REST services, simulation engines, PostgreSQL/NoSQL stores, containerized deployments, and GitLab-based CI/CD pipelines
- Proven Agile leadership (Scrum/Kanban) with ability to manage sprint metrics, technical debt burn-down, and cross-team dependencies
- Security+ CE (or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II) and Linux+ (or equivalent) certifications; ability to obtain TS/SCI
Work Location & Compliance:
- Hybrid footprint covering Government labs and cleared CONUS remote sites aligned with Government-furnished environments and DevSecOps pipelines
- Supports Government-owned infrastructure; no contractor licensing encumbrances; adheres to Unlimited Rights data requirements
- Leads transition-in knowledge capture within 60 days of award and prepares transition-out playbooks
Security & Readiness:
- U.S. citizen with active Secret clearance (interim acceptable at start) and TS/SCI eligibility
- Ensures compliance with DFARS 252.204-7012, NIST SP 800-171, CMMC requirements in contractor networks handling CUI/CDI
- Prepares and maintains personnel NDAs, DISS entries, and visit requests; coordinates ACA onboarding with associate contractors
