Digital Marketing Specialist
About the Role
Pawgo is a business platform for mobile pet care. We are a self-funded fast paced startup based out of Phoenix, AZ.
We are seeking a highly analytical, performance-oriented Digital Marketing Specialist to lead new pet parent acquisition and create loyalty programs for existing pet parents who have used our service for our fast-growing mobile pet grooming marketplace. This role is responsible for building, managing, and optimizing a multi-channel marketing program that drives qualified bookings at scale.
You will own the full acquisition funnel—from awareness to booked appointment—across paid social, paid search, local campaigns, CRM re-engagement, partnerships, and new experimental channels. You will manage a monthly marketing budget and be directly accountable for Return on Advertising Spend (ROAS) and Cost of Acquisition (CAC).

Key ResponsibilitiesAcquisition Strategy & Execution
- Develop and continuously optimize a scalable pet parent acquisition strategy across Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok, local lead gen, funnels, and offline channels.
- Build targeted campaigns that reach high-intent pet parents in need of mobile grooming services.
- Create test plans and run structured experiments to identify winning creatives, audiences, offers, and landing pages.
- Implement geofencing, zip-code-based targeting, and local service area optimization.
Budget Management & Performance Tracking
- Own and manage a monthly marketing budget with clear ROI targets.
- Allocate spend dynamically across channels based on performance.
- Track, measure, and report ROAS, CAC, funnel conversion rates, and cost-per-booked-appointment.
- Build weekly dashboards and insights to drive decision-making.
Creative, Messaging & Landing Page Optimization
- Work with internal teams or freelancers to produce high-converting creative assets tailored to pet parents.
- Optimize all acquisition funnels including lead forms, landing pages, GoHighLevel automations, and retargeting sequences.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with operations and customer support teams to ensure alignment around capacity, service availability, and promotions.
- Partner with grooming operations to match demand with available supply in each service area.
- Work with product/engineering to track new user cohorts, referral flows, and booking experience improvements.
Existing Customer Retention
- Work with our operational and tech teams to come up with innovative retention and loyalty programs to increase bookings
Required Qualifications
- Ability to create compelling content or source content from
- 1-3 years experience in growth marketing, performance marketing, or customer acquisition.
- Demonstrated success managing multi-channel paid acquisition with clear ROAS and CAC results.
- Strong experience with Meta Ads, Google Ads, GA4, and CRM automation platforms (GHL preferred).
- Deep analytical ability—comfortable in spreadsheets, dashboards, and attribution tools.
- Experience with service-based or marketplace businesses (preferred).
- Ability to work independently, operate at high speed, and iterate quickly based on data.
Performance Evaluation
This role will be evaluated on:
- Return on Advertising Spend (ROAS)
- Cost of Acquisition (CAC)
- Cost per Booked Appointment
- Lead-to-appointment conversion rate
- Efficient budget utilization and channel scalability
Compensation
- Performance incentives (based on ROAS / CAC improvements)
- Contract, part-time, or full time based on experience but the role will likely start part-time or contract to evaluate mutual fit
- Stock Options after Year 1
- Bonus based on performance
