Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented E-Learning Program Designer with expertise in Articulate 360 – Storyline to design and develop engaging, interactive, compliance-driven, and safety-focused e-learning programs for our client in St. Charles Parish. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of instructional design principles, and the ability to translate technical and safety content into engaging digital learning experiences that meet regulatory standards and operational needs.
*This is a full-time position from 6:30am – 3pm with 30 minutes for lunch.
*The pay rate will be $19 to $24 per hour based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Develop E-Learning Content:
Create interactive courses using Articulate Storyline and other Articulate 360 tools, ensuring content is visually appealing, user-friendly, and pedagogically sound.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs):
Work closely with SMEs to gather content, define learning objectives, and translate complex information into clear, engaging learning experiences.
- Apply Instructional Design Principles:
Incorporate best practices in instructional design, including scenario-based learning, microlearning, and assessments.
- Ensure Accessibility and Compliance:
Design courses that meet accessibility standards (WCAG) and comply with organizational and industry guidelines.
Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure functionality, usability, and compatibility across devices and LMS platforms.
- Maintain and Update Content:
Regularly review and update existing courses to keep content current and relevant.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communication, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in e-learning development using Articulate Storyline and Articulate 360 suite.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
- Ability to simplify technical content for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in multimedia design, including graphics, audio, and video integration.
- Excellent attention to detail and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other e-learning tools (e.g., Rise, Captivate, Camtasia).
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS for minor course customization.
- Familiarity with industrial/construction safety standards and compliance requirements.
