We are a leading provider of custom motor control panels and industrial automation solutions, specializing in high-quality, UL-compliant equipment for the carwash and industrial sectors. We deliver precise, efficient, and innovative solutions tailored to our customers’ needs. We are expanding our team and seeking a technically proficient, detail-oriented professional who thrives at the intersection of engineering and customer support.
**Position Summary**
This is a career-growth role that combines strong electrical/controls technical expertise with direct sales support responsibilities. You will serve as the critical technical bridge between customers, sales representatives, engineering, and production—reviewing specifications, designing/custom-quoting control panels, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring every project meets technical, regulatory, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate has hands-on electrical or motor controls experience (or a relevant degree) and enjoys translating complex technical concepts into clear solutions for customers and internal teams.
**Required Qualifications**
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in industrial motor controls, electrical maintenance, panel building, or related field OR applicable military training in Electrical/Mechanical maintenance OR a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering/Technology preferred.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Review and interpret customer-provided motor lists for equipment, including details on site construction, electrical specifications, Full Load Amps (FLA), Short Circuit Current Rating (SCCR), and the side of electrical feed entry into the control panel.
- Enter data into our proprietary quoting tool to design motor control panels that efficiently run all specified equipment, while determining the appropriate enclosure size and ensuring compliance with site specifications.
- Generate accurate quotes for custom-built control panels, factoring in all technical and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to refine designs, resolve discrepancies, and optimize solutions.
- Communicate directly with customers to clarify requirements, provide updates, and build strong relationships.
- Maintain document control, including organizing files in Google Drive and utilizing Microsoft applications (with a focus on Excel for data management and analysis).
- Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and support sales goals.
**Required Qualifications**
- Proven ability to handle detailed technical information with high accuracy.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with customers and internal teams.
- Proficiency in Google Drive and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work full-time in an office setting.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- College degree or higher in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Technical aptitude or passion for electrical systems, motor controls, or engineering principles.
- Experience working with UL508A standards for industrial control panels.
- Prior experience in sales support, quoting, or custom manufacturing environments.
- Become a product-line expert on our motor control panels, PLC integrations, VFD applications, and related industrial controls.
- Occasionally assist with panel checkout, testing coordination, or start-up support as needed.
**What We Offer**
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- Opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative team environment.
- The chance to work on innovative projects in the carwash and industrial sectors.
