About the Role:
Reporting to the Managing Partner, the Brand Strategist serves as a core strategic partner across Studiogen’s portfolio and agency clients. This role is responsible for defining how brands compete, differentiate, and grow.
You will lead foundational brand strategy work—positioning, narrative, audience definition, and market analysis—while guiding leadership teams through high-impact brand decisions. This is a senior, strategy-first role for someone who thinks in systems, frameworks, and long-term value creation, and who can translate complexity into clarity.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Brand & Business Strategy
- Define brand positioning, value propositions, and strategic narratives aligned to business goals.
- Develop brand architectures, messaging hierarchies, and go-to-market frameworks.
- Diagnose brand and growth challenges through structured problem-solving and insight-driven analysis.
- Partner with founders and executives to ensure brand strategy supports revenue, expansion, and long-term equity.
Market, Customer & Competitive Intelligence
- Lead market research and competitive analysis to identify white space and strategic advantage.
- Translate customer insights into actionable brand strategy and audience segmentation.
- Track category dynamics, cultural trends, and shifts in consumer behavior to inform positioning.
- Pressure-test brand strategies against real-world constraints and growth objectives.
Strategic Direction & Advisory
- Serve as a strategic advisor to internal teams and portfolio leadership.
- Guide creative, marketing, and content teams with clear strategic direction and rationale.
- Develop strategic briefs that align teams and elevate execution quality.
- Present and defend strategic recommendations with clarity and conviction.
Performance & Evolution
- Establish success metrics for brand initiatives and evaluate impact over time.
- Continuously refine positioning and messaging as companies scale and markets evolve.
- Balance long-term brand equity with near-term performance and growth needs.
About You:
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience in brand strategy, management consulting, or strategic marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field of study
- Proven track record of leading brand positioning and strategic planning initiatives.
- Experience working with leadership teams, founders, or senior stakeholders.
- Background in agency, consulting, startup, or multi-brand environments.
Strategic Skillset
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights.
- Expert-level understanding of brand positioning, narrative development, and category strategy.
- Ability to connect brand decisions directly to business and financial outcomes.
- Highly skilled in structuring problems and communicating strategic logic.
Professional Qualities
- Executive-level communication and presentation skills.
- Confident, decisive, and comfortable owning recommendations.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple strategic workstreams.
- Thrives in ambiguity and fast-moving environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience leading projects in an agency or multi-client environment.
- Exposure to consumer, technology, or platform businesses.
- Experience guiding rebrands, market entries, or repositioning efforts.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 annually
- Flexible, hybrid work arrangement (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
