3D Illustrator
The 3D Illustrator supports the development of high?quality technical training materials used by dealerships—primarily for automotive technicians and fixed operations personnel. This role produces detailed 3D and 2D illustrations, animations, and visual assets used in service training modules, technical publications, and communications related to recalls and repair procedures.

3D Illustrator Details:
- Contract position
- $43.00 to $44.00 /hour
- First Shift (Monday through Friday from 09:00am to 05:00pm)
- Produce high?quality 3D technical illustrations of automotive components and systems using Maya and KeyShot.
- Create supporting 2D graphics for training modules, service publications, and repair communications.
- Develop technical animations to show system operations or component functionality.
- Review storyboards and create required images/animations for training modules (typically 20+ per module within a two?week cycle).
- Ensure visual accuracy, proper texturing, and consistency with engineering references.
- Collaborate with Instructional Designers, 3D Artists, Graphic Illustrators, and Developers throughout the production process.
- Communicate clearly to interpret technical concepts and support training objectives.
3D Illustrator Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent work experience
- 6+ years of technical illustration experience, with a focus on 3D modeling and rendering
- Strong proficiency in:
- Maya (primary tool)
- KeyShot
- Adobe Photoshop
- Illustrator and InDesign (for 2D and publication support)
- Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Planner, Outlook, project tracking)
- Demonstrated technical portfolio, including:
- Hard-surface renders
- Texturing work Technical animations (required)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a production-driven environment
