About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Intern to join our team focused on search funds and lower middle market acquisitions. This role is intended for candidates with a demonstrated interest in search funds, and previous experience private investing or transaction advisory environments.
The intern will support deal evaluation, financial diligence, portfolio analysis, and fund related initiatives. This internship has the potential to convert into a full time investing role for strong performers, subject to business needs.
Candidates without relevant transaction, diligence, or fund experience will not be considered.
Responsibilities
Support evaluation of search fund and ETA backed investment opportunities
Build and refine financial models, valuation work, and diligence analyses
Perform financial diligence and quality of earnings style review
Review financial statements and assess cash flow sustainability
Conduct industry and company research
Help monitor portfolio company performance and KPI tracking
Support investor and internal reporting
Prepare investment memoranda and presentation materials
Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
Demonstrated understanding of search funds and ETA investment models
Prior experience at a search fund, ETA fund, private equity firm, accounting firm, transaction advisory practice, or family office
Experience with financial diligence, quality of earnings analysis, or transaction advisory
Preferred Qualifications
Accounting background
Prior investing experience
Experience with portfolio monitoring and LP reporting
Familiarity with SMB operations and post acquisition support
