Jordache is looking for a motivated Assistant Buyer to join our growing team. In this role, you will partner with the Buyer to drive business strategies for one of our prestigious brands. You will play a key part in selecting assortments and developing promotional strategies to meet the department’s financial goals. We are seeking a detail-oriented self-starter with a passion for growing a business.
Key Responsibilities:
Buying Support: Support the Buyer in preparing reports and analysis for key business meetings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Planning, Allocation, and E-commerce teams to optimize inventory levels and promotional strategies.
Sample Management: Manage samples to present at business review meetings and assortment planning style-outs.
Store Engagement: Conduct regular store visits to evaluate product performance and presentation. Must be available for potential travel to support business objectives.
Trend Tracking: Maintain a pulse on market trends and competitor activity to assist in selecting future seasonal buys.
Requirements:
1-3 years prior experience in a retail buying or planning role.
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of Retail Math.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS) and retail management systems.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with corporate teams and store managers.
Ability to work full-time in our Midtown Manhattan office and travel as required.
