Position: Assistant Engineering Manager
Reports To: Department/Section Manager
Direct reports: Project Engineers
Qualifications: Good understanding of processes and equipment within a JIT manufacturing environment. Knowledge & Ability to monitor, maintain, & improve production systems. Good written, verbal, organizational, interpersonal & leadership skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project management experience.
- Ability to manage engineers assigned multiple projects.
- Experience with equipment and process layout design.
- Working knowledge of 2D and 3D drawing software.
- Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
- Experience with PLCs, vision, and robotic systems.
- Interaction with vendors, customers, and the R&D team for various activities.
- Assist technical staff in trouble shooting and maintaining all production equipment.
- Assist with the design & development of new equipment, verifying the equipment specifications meets the internal requirements in relation to productivity & safety.
- Review current facility equipment needs and make recommendations to management concerning upgrades/capital improvements.
- Responsible for making decisions and supporting technical staff for all industrial systems within the plant.
- Evaluate current processes and make recommendations for Process Improvement.
- Responsible for creating schedules for equipment installs & equipment upgrades.
- Develop appropriate contingency plans to address future issues.
- Support development of 5S, TPM and Kaizen programs.
- Ensure safe operations of all equipment.
- Have the ability to establish and execute a monthly plan.
- Must execute action items per the annual business plan to help achieve section key metrics (downtime reduction, cost reduction).
- Requires the ability to apply extensive knowledge of manufacturing & engineering processes.
- It is an essential function of this position that Associates be on the work site in person to perform their job duties throughout each scheduled work week because TSIN operates most effectively with the kind of teamwork, personal interaction, and supervision that simply cannot be had in a home office situation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb stairs, use fingers, hands, wrists, arms, lift and/or move a maximum of 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to travel.
- Open office workspace.

- ISO Orientation
- Engineering / Engineering Technologies degree or equivalent or a minimum of 10 years experience in a related field.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
