THE ROLE
Help tell the story of The Landgrove—a cozy Vermont inn, restaurant/tavern, and arts hub—by capturing real moments on-site and turning them into posts, reels, and a weekly Mailchimp newsletter people actually want to open.
You’ll visit 1–3x/week to shoot photos, grab quick mini-interviews, and share the warm, clever “Landgrove vibe” consistently. If you love making content feel human (not salesy) and want a flexible, creative role where your work shows up fast, this is it.
ABOUT THE LANDGROVE
We’re a 16-room historic inn with a beloved Art Studio & Full-Service Restaurant, hosting 35–40 art workshops a year with nationally and internationally known artists—on 23 acres in Vermont’s Green Mountains, next door to alpine & cross country skiing paradise.
Under new ownership, and under the leadership of new executive chef John Gould, we’re preserving the inn’s soul and elevating service, food, and programming for families, artists, and nature lovers.
Looking for entrepreneurial, humble, and action-oriented folks with positive energy to join us at The Landgrove!
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You’ll help us capture real moments on property and turn them into simple, consistent marketing each week.
On-site content capture (1–2x/week)
Take high-quality photos of rooms, food & drink, staff, guests (with permission), and seasonal moments.
- Capture short “mini-interviews” (30–90 seconds) with staff, guests, artists, and chefs: what they loved, what surprised them, what they’d tell a friend.
- Capture short b-roll video: cozy vibes, behind-the-scenes, plating, snow, studio moments, etc.
Social media posting + reels
- Create and publish Instagram + Facebook posts and reels (and help us build a repeatable cadence).
- Write captions in The Landgrove voice: warm, clever, human, and inviting.
- Basic community management: respond to comments/DMs and flag anything important.
Weekly newsletter (Mailchimp)
Build and send a weekly email newsletter in Mailchimp featuring 2–4 rotating sections, such as:
- This Week at The Landgrove (events + highlights)
- The Innkeeper’s Note (short story)
- Studio Spotlight (artist/workshop feature)
- Food & Drink Feature (chef/cocktail/menu highlight)
- Weekend Plan (simple itinerary)
- Openings + Packages Watch (availability + CTA
Manage key Mailchimp tasks: formatting, basic template use, audience/segments (as needed), links, testing, and scheduling.
Keep it short, skimmable, and on-brand.
Brand tightening (light but important)
- Help us define a consistent look and voice across posts and emails.
- Organize our content into simple “buckets” (inn / food / art / local / people / seasons).
- Build a lightweight style guide: words we use, words we avoid, photo style, and a simple template system.
