We attribute much of our success to the strength of our marketing and our “Maverick” sized events. To build on this momentum, we’re searching for a highly qualified Events and Marketing Manager/Coordinator to work closely with the Events and Marketing Director. In addition to event coordination, and on site day-of management, this role is responsible for assisting with planning, producing, and supervising the execution of communications and marketing plan activities such as promotions, collateral materials, and media.
The duties and responsibilities of an Event & Marketing Coordinator vary widely from event to event, as they are largely dependent on which tasks are delegated per event. This individual also assists in developing specific content to support methods to nurture the company’s online audience and deploy campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok etc. as well as Email Marketing and Food Delivery platforms.
In the absence of the Event & Marketing Director, the Event & Marketing Coordinator will assume all Event responsibilities, including but not limited to all marketing, email correspondence, material creation, event walk-throughs, quotes, bookings, contracts, and execution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the guidance of the Events and Marketing Director and other Management teams, work with internal and external stakeholders to create and maintain Mavericks event and marketing standards:
● Assist in coordinating, and execution of all on-site events for Mavericks and serving as the on-site coordinator for all events.
● Serve as a liaison between Events Director and all event stakeholders to ensure logistics are planned seamlessly and deadlines are being met
● Assist in coordination of event decor and staffing needs
● Create run of shows, AV and rental needs, floor plans
● Assist Event Manager in facilitation for required paperwork for events, such as legal agreements, client contracts, invoices, BEOs, vendor contracts and certificates of liability/insurance
● Maintain shared calendar of events, Toast Marketing CRM and TripleSeat platform and provide updates and event requests to relevant personnel
● Assist in complete creation and distribution of event marketing graphics, menus and materials in Canva or Illustrator
● Assist with tracking event expenses and budget
● Assist with the marketing and ordering of merchandise
● Research and propose new opportunities for social media marketing and advertising campaigns
● Stay current with social media trends and incorporate as appropriate to improve the customer experience, drive sales and leverage ongoing customer involvement. Be in tune with the competitive landscape throughout our industry.
● Assist with upkeep of Mavericks online presence such as Yelp, Google, Trip Advisor, GrubHub, DoorDash and Maverickssd.com
● Work with Management to create and maintain Mavericks merchandise inventory
SKILLS REQUIRED
● Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience in Hospitality
