Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Technician
Duration: 6-month W2 contract with possible extensions
Pay Rate: $35–$40/hour (paid weekly; based on experience)
Schedule: Onsite, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Location: Plymouth, MN

Role Overview:
BEPC is actively seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to support our client’s onsite operations. In this role, you will contribute to the assembly, integration, testing, and support of automated machinery, robotic systems, and custom equipment. This position offers hands-on exposure to advanced automation projects while working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and field service teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical components, frames, fixtures, subassemblies, and robotic systems according to engineering drawings and build documentation.
- Perform precision alignment of actuators, slides, sensors, tooling, and other mechanical components.
- Install pneumatic systems including tubing, valves, and fittings.
- Wire control panels, sensors, motors, and power systems following electrical schematics.
- Route cables and harnesses to ensure clean, safe, and serviceable installations.
- Assist controls engineers with I/O checkout, machine debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Support mechanical dry runs, functional testing, and system validation activities.
- Identify startup issues and collaborate with engineering to resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or programming challenges.
- Perform basic robot or PLC adjustments under the guidance of controls engineers.
- Maintain accurate build notes, redlines, and feedback for engineering updates.
- Follow standard work procedures, safety guidelines, and quality processes.
- Recommend improvements to machine design, build methods, and component selection.
- Collaborate with mechanical designers, controls engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams.
- Support field installation, commissioning, or service activities as required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly, pneumatics, and basic electrical wiring.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and pneumatic diagrams.
- Hands-on experience using hand tools, measurement tools, and shop equipment.
- Experience working with automated machinery, robotics, or custom equipment builds.
- Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and robotic systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB, Mitsubishi).
- Understanding of industrial safety standards, including lockout/tagout, machine guarding, and risk assessment.

- Schedule: Onsite, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
