Project Engineer - Manufacturing Plant Relocation

Description

One year + contract position for a project engineer to relocate a manufacturing plant in Mount Laurel, NJ area.
Primary responsibilities will include:.
Planning and execution of a large scale manufacturing facility relocation.
Coordinating across internal functional teams and working with suppliers and contractors.
Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, schedules.
Developing task lists for equipment, layout and utilities.
Interfacing with external suppliers, contractors, riggers and service providers.
Support equipment disassembly, relocation, re-installation and start-up activities.
Apply lean manufacturing principles to layout design, material flow, and process transitions.
Track progress, report issues and regular project updates to management.

Requirements

BS degree in engineering (MechE, IE, Manufacturing) or similar.
At least 5 years experience in project management for industrial plant projects.
Experience in rigging,equipment installation and production start-up.
Strong project leadership skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
