Overview
Our client is a growing, middle‑market financial services organization with multiple operating investments. The CEO manages a broad portfolio of businesses, requiring strong coordination, effective execution, and strategic oversight. The Chief of Staff will play a critical role in enabling the CEO's impact across the enterprise.
Position Summary
This individual will act as a strategic partner to the CEO, supporting planning, decision‑making, and execution across both the core business and portfolio companies. The Chief of Staff will manage key initiatives, streamline communication, and ensure organizational alignment, allowing the CEO to focus on the highest‑value priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Support
- Translate the CEO's strategic priorities into actionable plans.
- Lead and drive progress on major initiatives, including operational improvements, growth efforts, and investment-related projects.
- Represent the CEO when needed and support informed decision‑making.
Portfolio Coordination
- Maintain visibility across multiple operating companies and surface opportunities, issues, or synergies.
- Build strong relationships with leadership teams and coordinate cross-portfolio efforts.
Executive Management & Communication
- Oversee executive meetings, strategic planning cycles, and board preparation.
- Manage agendas, materials, follow‑ups, and information flow to/from the CEO.
- Prepare concise briefings, presentations, and communications.
- Ensure messaging consistency for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Experience
- 7-10+ years in financial services, consulting, private equity, or a related environment.
- Proven success managing cross-functional projects or initiatives.
- Experience working directly with senior executives in fast-paced settings.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of financial and operational drivers within financial services.
- Excellent project management, communication, and analytical skills.
