Project Manager — Commercial Construction

Highlander Design + Build is a growing commercial general contractor delivering high-quality projects across Northeast Georgia and the Southeast. We are seeking a high-performing Project Manager who takes ownership, thinks ahead, and executes with precision.
This role is not for someone who needs constant direction. It is for a professional who thrives on responsibility, accountability, and building exceptional projects.
What You’ll Do
As a Project Manager at Highlander, you will own projects from preconstruction through closeout, serving as the central point of coordination between owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial construction projects from kickoff to final completion
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules
- Prepare and track budgets, buyouts, change orders, and cost forecasts
- Lead subcontractor coordination, meetings, and performance management
- Review drawings, specs, RFIs, and submittals for constructability
- Communicate clearly and professionally with owners and design teams
- Identify risks early and proactively solve problems
- Ensure projects meet quality, schedule, and financial targets
- Maintain organized project documentation and reporting

Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years experience managing commercial construction projects (preferred)
- Experience with retail, office, light industrial, hospitality, or similar projects
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and means & methods
- Proficient with construction management software (or quick to learn)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Valid driver’s license

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
