Summary:

This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a brand-new Underground & Structural Division with the backing of an established, respected contractor in Eastern NC. We are looking for a high-performing Heavy Civil professional—likely a Senior Project Manager—who is ready to shape strategy, grow teams, and own results. You’ll have the autonomy to develop operations while delivering complex self-performed work across highways, bridges, underground utilities, and structures. If you’ve been waiting for the chance to leave your mark and grow into executive leadership, this role was built for you.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience in Heavy Civil construction with experience in highways, bridges, underground utilities, and structural work. DOT expertise is required.
- Experience self-performing projects in Southeastern US is highly preferred.
- Proven success self-performing critical construction scopes such as concrete, structures, earthwork, and utility installation
- Experience leading projects as a Senior Project Manager or equivalent, including P&L responsibility and team leadership
- Strong knowledge of field operations, scheduling, estimating, and subcontractor management
- Ability to build and develop a division—recruiting teams, establishing processes, and driving business growth
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent required. Advanced degrees desired.
