About the Role
We are seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on designing and implementing advanced computer vision solutions and collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-quality vision systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop computer vision solutions for diverse applications.
- Process and analyze large-scale image and video datasets.
- Develop and optimize image processing and feature extraction techniques.
- Implement object detection, tracking, and classification algorithms.
- Deploy vision models on edge computing platforms and embedded systems.
- Conduct rigorous performance evaluations of computer vision models.
- Collaborate with software engineers, hardware engineers, and data scientists to integrate vision solutions into larger systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical, Optical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in computer vision engineering.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in developing and deploying image processing and computer vision algorithms.
- Experience in developing and deploying AI/ML computer vision models.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and MATLAB.
- Proficiency in common development tools (git, docker, Linux, etc.)
Location & Travel
- Onsite in Goleta or Los Alamitos for four days per week.
- Domestic travel approximately 25%
Work Environment
- Extended periods of computer-based work.
- Frequent viewing and analysis of detailed visual content, including 3D models and textures.
- Regular use of keyboards, mice, and other input devices.
- Strong visual focus and attention to detail over long durations is essential.
