Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Landscape Designer/Sales professional to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will combine creative landscape design expertise with proactive sales skills to deliver inspiring outdoor solutions that meet our clients’ visions and functional needs. You will be instrumental in guiding clients through the design process, presenting compelling proposals, and ensuring seamless project execution from concept to completion. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their landscape goals, preferences, and site conditions, translating ideas into detailed design concepts.
- Develop comprehensive landscape plans using advanced design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Dynascape.
- Incorporate sustainable design principles and horticultural best practices to create environmentally responsible landscapes.
- Prepare accurate construction estimates, project timelines, and material lists to support project planning and budgeting.
- Present design proposals confidently to clients using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite tools to visualize concepts effectively.
- Conduct site surveys including land surveying, land use analysis with GIS tools like ArcView or ArcGIS, and assess existing conditions for accurate planning.
- Coordinate with construction teams on hardscape elements such as paving, retaining walls, irrigation systems, and other hardscape features ensuring quality standards are met.
- Manage project workflows from initial consultation through installation oversight, maintaining clear communication with clients and contractors.
- Support landscaping maintenance planning post-installation to ensure long-term landscape health and aesthetics.
- Stay informed on the latest trends in sustainable landscaping, civil engineering practices, and innovative construction techniques.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape design or related fields with a strong portfolio demonstrating creative solutions and technical proficiency.
- Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Dynascape, and LMN software.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles, land surveying methods, irrigation systems, civil engineering concepts, and sustainable landscape practices.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and project management methodologies for efficient project delivery.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings including CAD plans for hardscape features such as paving and retaining walls.
- Strong communication skills to effectively present ideas to clients and collaborate with team members across disciplines.
- Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
