CPCNeutek is located in the beautiful high desert of Western Colorado and we are expanding our packaging prepress team.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of folding carton structures, with a strong understanding of file prep for print production. Is a creative thinker, upbeat attitude and has strong problem solving abilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create structural drawings using CAD packaging software to develop paperboard folding carton packaging.
- Create packaging die lines based on client specifications as well as production capabilities
- Produce samples, mock-ups and 3D proofs using CAD software, a Kongsberg cutting table and Roland digital printer
- Optimize die lines for production, estimating; create die-ready files
- Order dies
- Prepare CAD drawings that include all necessary specifications
- Brainstorm with sales and clients to develop eye-catching, cost-effective packaging for consumer products
- Meet required timelines while ensuring accuracy and quality of work
- Cut printing blankets for production
- Review job ticket instructions to determine requirements of job production.
- Generate proofs according to job ticket instructions.
- Trap files using RIP software and / or Adobe CS applications.
- Using appropriate software applications (CS suites, ArtiosCAD/Esko, Preps, Pandora, etc.) prepare files for output.
- Update project managers regarding job status.
- Perform technical troubleshooting concerning job production and software issues.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills
- 3 plus years of packaging experience
- Knowledge of standard folding carton practices and materials
- Working knowledge of CAD packaging design software, preferably ArtiosCAD
- Must be very detailed-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills
- Keenly organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments and daily workload; strong time management skills Required Experience
- A minimum of 1-3 years experience using Adobe CS in a prepress environment; 5 plus years of experience preferred
- Thrive in a fast-paced, team environment with a can-do attitude

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
