Position Summary
The IT Application & Systems Developer works under general supervision to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of business applications used within the manufacturing and warehouse environment based on established business strategies to ensure continual improvement, security, customer satisfaction, and adherence to company policy. Using critical thinking and sound judgment, the IT Application & Systems Developer ensures reliable operation of custom applications, databases, labeling solutions, and RF device integrations that directly support manufacturing processes related to the business goals.
Essential Functions

- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain business and web-based applications hosted on IIS, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Build and maintain application interfaces with manufacturing and warehouse systems, including RF devices, IoT integrations, and real-time data collection.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain database and integration solutions using SQL Server, PL/SQL, and MySQL, including ETL processes and SSIS packages for data integration and reporting.
- Implement and support application interactions with operational hardware, including printers, scanners, scales, and labeling systems (e.g., BarTender, Loftware, NiceLabel).
- Develop and automate operational reporting and analytics solutions, including Power BI dashboards and Excel-based tools connected to SQL and ERP data sources.
- Contribute to digitalization and smart manufacturing initiatives by implementing innovative software solutions that improve operational efficiency.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Experience supporting applications in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment required.
- Demonstrated experience developing and supporting applications using C#, VB.NET, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Working knowledge of relational databases, including SQL Server, PL/SQL, and MySQL.
- Experience working with Windows operating systems and Linux environments (RHEL), including familiarity with RF handheld devices and enterprise labeling systems.
- Experience with Power BI, ERP-integrated environments such as SAP or QAD, and Excel macros for reporting or operational automation is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with IoT concepts or integration of device-generated data within a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proficient PC skills required, including Microsoft, VMware administration and support.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with all levels of personnel.
- Solve problems using critical thinking and sound judgment.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently; prioritizing workload to consistently meet deadlines and production requirements.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the position functions primarily in a traditional office environment, however, the employee may work in a manufacturing, cleanroom, computer room and/or warehouse environment that are subject to moderate to high levels of noise, specialized apparel and safety equipment, and moving mechanical parts. This position will have exposure to and use of materials listed in the company’s Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Travel - Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
